The Official Christening Ceremony of Noble Jim Day

Singapore - 28 October 2009 marks the birth of the Noble Jim Day semi-submersible rig. Owned by Noble Corporation (USA), this magnificent rig was named at the official christening ceremony held in its birthplace - Jurong Shipyard, Singapore.

Well attended by over 250 guests from around the globe, the official christening ceremony was officiated by Mrs Teresa Day accompanied by senior managements from both Noble Corporation and Jurong Shipyard. After Mrs Day read her ceremonial words of blessing, the traditional champagne bottle smashed onto the hull of the rig signifying the start of a glorious and smooth journey ahead.
